This is the first Colliery Managers House built by Staveley Coal & Iron Company on the  Shirebrook Road and was deemed not to be suitable because the pit wheels turning could not be seen from the upstairs windows. This house end up as the home of the Warsop Vale curates and became known as “The Parsonage”
